Darrell Lynn Smith

Mr. Darrell Lynn Smith, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. He was born in Cookeville, TN to the late Alvis "Don" and Sheila Blair Smith on March 28th, 1947. He served in Vietnam as a sergeant with the 11th Cav H320. He was a retired machinist with TVA and a member of the Edelweiss Club in Clarksville.

He is survived by his wife, Heidemarie Ruth Thoma Smith of Clarksville; two children, Dylan Smith and Shellie Smith Nolen (Richard) four step-children: JohnMakowski (Amanda) of Clarksville, Angelia Strickland (Hodges), Michaela Hoosier (Mark), all of Clarksville; Patricia Manyik (Nick) of Colorado; one sister, Vicki McCowan (Bill) of Virginia; three grandchildren, Levi Black, Hunter Black, and Memphis Smith; nine step-grandchildren; niece, Stacie Poletis, nephew, Jason McCowan, and great niece, Taylor Poletis, all of Virginia.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015 with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow services in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.
