Dalton James-Dean Barry

Dalton James-Dean Barry, age 23 of Clarksville, TN passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Dalton was born on January 20, 1998 in Clarksville, TN to Roddy Smith Jr. and Jessica Hendrickson. Dalton was a 2016 Northwest graduate and has been self employed since. He loved deeply and with his whole heart. His passion for his wife and son never wavered. And though he has lost his battle to recovery his legacy will live on in his son Jaxon. He loved his mom and grandma and made sure that they both knew with a kiss on the cheek every night before bed. He will be forever loved and missed by everyone who had the pleasure to really know him not just the one the world saw. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlene and Roddy Smith Sr., great grandparents Mearl and Doris Ross and his uncles Jeremy Barry and Mark Smith; and aunt Lisa Smith. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 5 years, Ashlyn Barry; son, Jaxon Barry; mother, Jessica Hendrickson (Adam); father, Roddy Smith Jr. (Leigh); Maternal grandparents, Cindy and Curtis Wardwell; Aunt, Melissa Haynes; His father and mother in law Scott and Janet Sears; brothers, Robert Smith, Philip Moore, Clark Edwards, Kal-el Hendrickson; sisters, Sierra Smith, Meagan Edwards, Sarah-Beth Hendrickson, Brianna Hendrickson and  Makayla Harpold (Justin); Great Aunts, Debi Zamora (Jose), Cheryl Ross, Lisa Tousseau; Great uncle Richard Ross; his cousins, Ashton Zamora, Lisa Williams, Stephanie Hill, and Tiffany Devaney, Maddie and Miah.

There will be a Celebration of Life on December 4, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Sears officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
