Claudie Melvin Grubbs

Claudie Melvin Grubbs of Greenville, KY, passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 at the Madisonville Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY. He was born December 4, 1944 in Mt. Carmel, IL, the son of the late Clarence Grubbs and Ada Clark Grubbs. Claudie served his country in the US Navy from 1961 until 1966. Following his time in the service, he worked for many years in the home improvement business. He is a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles Lodge. Claudie is survived by sisters Barbara Steele of Greenville, KY; Norma Wiess of Mt. Carmel, IL; and Sandra Halfacre of Mt. Carmel, IL. He is also survived by brothers Richard Grubbs of Mt. Carmel, IL; and William Grubbs of Evansville, IN. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Charles Ishmel Grubbs. There will be no public funeral services scheduled at this time. When restrictions are lifted he will be placed at the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY with military honors.
