Chong Suk Kim

Chong Suk Kim, age 102, passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 13, 2018. She was born in Uijongbu, South Korea on the 13th of September in 1916. Chong was preceded in death by her late husband, Chang Han. She is survived by one daughter, Myong S. (Han) Bittle of Clarksville, TN and one grandson, Sonny L. Bittle of Knoxville, TN. Over the past 25 years of her life, Ms. Kim lived with and had been lovingly cared for by her daughter, Myong and son-in-law Richard Bittle. Ms. Kim's long life included her survival during the extreme hardships of the Japanese Occupation of Korea and the Korean War. A memorial service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
