Catherine M. Welling

Catherine M. Welling, age 67, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday August 29, 2021 at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center in Clarksville.  She was born February 11, 1954 in Ft. Bragg, NC, the daughter of the late P.H. Sandifer and Betty Campbell Sandifer.  Catherine had worked as a manager of the guest house on Ft. Campbell and most recently as the cafeteria manager at the Hooper Bowling Center.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, doing artwork and crocheting and cross stitching.  Primarily, she was a woman of faith and was devoted to her family.  Left to cherish her memory are her children Guadalupe Luna of Clarksville; Ronald Kay Welling Jr. of Clarksville; Paula Irene Kaye Welling of Clarksville; Rhonda Kaye Harris (James) of Woodlawn; and Linda Irene Lopez of Clarksville.  Also surviving is her brother Pete Sandifer of Huntsville, AL and her sister Sharon Stevens of Dover, TN.  Catherine is also blessed with six grandchildren Wesley Keith Darnell, Joseph Ronald Darnell, Briley Kaye Darnell, Antonio Lopez IV, Mark Anthony Lopez, and Michael Lee Lopez as well as one great grandchild Kayden Anthony Lopez.  She is also survived by her former husband Ronald K. Welling Sr. of Clarksville.  Funeral services for Catherine will be conducted on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the care of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center  335 Franklin Street  Clarksville, TN  37040.  Phone 931-919-2600.  Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com.
