Carmilla Pete

Carmilla Kilgore Pete age 74 of Clarksville, went Home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. She was born January 18, 1942 in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Isable Ogburn and Alberta Hatcher Ogburn. Carmilla had been employed for 39 years with Sears in Clarksville, primarily in the office and as warehouse manager. She is a member of the Guildfield Baptist Church in S. Guthrie where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed doing her part to beautify her community. Carmilla is survived by a daughter Monica Kilgore of Nashville; sons Clyde Kilgore Jr. of Clarksville; and Michael Kilgore (Mary) of Alliance, OH. She is also survived by a sister Delinia Storr of Clarksville; and a brother Charlie Ogburn of Clarksville; and 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carmilla is preceded in death by 3 brothers Isable Frank; Joe Lawrence; and Billy Doris Ogburn. Funeral services will be conducted at the Guildfield Baptist Church in S. Guthrie, TN on Thursday June 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Allataye Russ will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at Gateway Funeral Home and for the hour prior to services at the church. Pallbearers will be friends and deacons. Flower bearers will be the Young At Heart group and friends from the church. Burial will be in Lester's Chapel Cemetery in S. Guthrie, TN.
