Candida ""Cuca"" Otero

Candida "Cuca" Otero, age 67 of Clarksville, TN passed away Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville. She was born March 9, 1948 in Puerto Rico; the daughter of the late Justiniano and Estanisla Maldonado.

She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant working in a nursing home for most of her life. She had a passion for cooking and was very good at it. She always had a smile on her face and something in her mind.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roberto Otero; daughters, Omayra Otero and Johanna Thomas; grandchildren, Cecil Thomas 3rd, Anthony O'Neil Thomas and Jessica Lynn Thomas; great grandchild, Joseph Keaton Upshaw Jr.. She is preceded in death by her son in law, Cecil Thomas Jr.

Memorial services will be held in the Rose Room at Gateway Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 18th from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
