Brenda Kay Schultz-von Hawker, age 63, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at Tennova Healthcare. She was born on September 26, 1957, in Amarillo, TX to Glenwood and Katherine Schultz.She was married to Robert Wayne von Hawker on May 19, 1992. Brenda was a Special Education Teacher in Virginia Beach, VA; Stuttgart, Germany; Brussels, Belgium, and Fort Campbell, KY schools. She retired in 2017 with 35 years of service. She was the recipient of the DODEA 2010 Teacher of the Year for the Kentucky district. She was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church as a teacher, mentor, and tireless volunteer. Brenda enjoyed being with people and making them happy.
Brenda's memory will forever be cherished by her loving mother, Katherine Schultz; her brother, Ron Schultz (Mary); a nephew, Garrett Schultz; an aunt, Barbara Schultz; cousins, Chuck Schwarz, Debbie Anderson, Lauri Anthony, Debbie Jones, Russell Schultz, Alan Schultz, and many special friends. She also has a stepdaughter, Robyn (David); four grandchildren, Joshua (Ali), Noah, Sam, and Jacob; a great-grandson, Kade, whom she adored, and are all a part of the Primus family. Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne von Hawker; her twin babies, Robert William and Ronald Wayne von Hawker, and her father, Glenwood Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Pre-School at 2526 Whitfield Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040; any Animal Rescue League, or ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church located at 2526 Whitfield Rd. Clarksville, TN 37040 with Pastor Kent Holz officiating. A visitation will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8, 2020, beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
