Brenda Akin

Brenda Hester Akin, age 61, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday July 18, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Brenda was born on November 30, 1958 to Rosa Nell Cato Hester and the late Wallace "Buddy" Hester. Brenda was always willing to help people. She taught her daughters and grandchildren to be compassionate towards people and animals. She loved gardening and trivia game shows. She is preceded in death by her brother Jack Hester. In addition to her Mother ,she is survived by her daughters Amber Hollenbeck (Brandon Hollenbeck) and Ashlee Akin. She has five wonderful grandchildren that called her Nana; Kaylie Akin, Dakoda Akin, Athena Hollenbeck, Leia Smith, and Madelyn "Maddie" Smith. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Sandra Hester, Dennis (Cathy) Hester, and Scott Hester. She is also survived by her sister in law, Betty Hester. Her family would like to thank the SICU staff at Vanderbilt Medical Center for taking such wonderful care of Nana. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public funeral services.
