Betty Jean Bumpus

Betty Jean Bumpus, age 75, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. She was born on August 16, 1946, in Pikeville, KY to Vivian Elswick and the late William E. Stuard.

Many years ago, Betty worked as a hairdresser. Apart from work, she enjoyed caring for her home and garden. Betty was very fond of her lovely flowers.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Vivian Bassingthwaite; her children, Angela (Danny) McDaniel, William Duane (Lenora) Clark, and Michael Clark; sisters, Vivian Thomas and Gayle (Kevin) Hartley; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her father, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Bumpus; two sisters, Joy Huff and Janet Stuard; and her brother, Mickey Stuard.

There are no public funeral services arranged.
