Bettie Jean Moore

Bettie Jean Moore age 81 of Clarksville, passed away at her residence on Saturday June 11, 2016. She was born in Clarksville on August 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Vernon Johnson and Flossie Rye Johnson. Bettie is a graduate of Clarksville High School and is a lifelong member of the Forest Street United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She is survived by her children, Joseph Moore of Clarksville; James Moore of Clarksville; Angela Nutter & husband David of Louisville; and Dani Cooper & husband David of Cumberland Furnace. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Melissa Violet Perez; Robin Ross; Shane Nutter; Jerred Cooper; Heidi Anderson; Aaron Cooper; and Holly Cooper as well as 3 great grandchildren, Ava Ross; Benjamin Ross; and Xavier Anderson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Doris Johnson and Vernon Johnson; great grandson, Jonah Nutter. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday June 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home with Pastor S.N. Kim officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
