Bernadine Marie Davis

Bernadine Marie Davis age 61 of Clarksville passed away on October 27, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville. She was born December 17, 1954 in Geneva, NY, the daughter of Juanita Merchant Turewicz of Clarksville and Franklin Delano Kelley of Indianapolis.

Bernadine served her country for 3 years in the US Army. She earned her BS degree and her masters degree and was currently working to attain her doctorate degree. She was a teacher in the Montgomery County School System for over 25 years, retiring several years ago due to her health. She dedicated her years of teaching to helping special needs students. Bernadine is a member of the Catholic Church and she enjoyed traveling, sewing and shopping.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lawrence Davis Jr. of Clarksville. She is also survived by three sons, Rodney Davis & Ryan of Clarksville; Michael Davis & Melissa of Clarksville; and Lawrence Davis III and Chrystal Fawley of Clarksville; one daughter Cassandra Davis of Clarksville; two step sons Ralph Davis & Angela of Clarksville; and Anthony Davis of Nashville; and one step daughter Claudia Davis of Clarksville. She is also survived by 2 brothers Franklin Kelley Jr of Ft Worth, TX and Paul Kelley of Indianapolis; and 2 sisters Patricia Kelley of Indianapolis and Wanda Cooprider of Brazil, IN. Bernadine is also survived by 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday October 31, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
