Astrid Blandon

Astrid (Ozzie) Blandon was born on the 13^th of February, 1961 in Mainz Germany to Wilhelm and Maria Nauheimer, who had taken their place of rest. She married Donald Blandon, her husband of 38 years, on October 29^th, 1984, and combined their love to care for Marvin Nauheimer and Donald Womack. Astrid Blandon welcomed the overwhelming love of her grandsons Jayvin Nauheimer and Dylan Womack and her beautiful granddaughter, Nya Nauheimer. She dedicated over twenty years to caring for the military, veterans, and their families at Austin Peay State University and retired in 2020.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Donald Blandon; sons, Marvin (Lafateia) Nauheimer and Donald Womack; mother-in-law, Iola Blandon; brother, Ernst (Emmi) Nauheimer; sisters, Sigrid Petermann, Monika Preiser, Juliane (Klaus) Bergmann, and Irene (Glenn) Blair; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Astrid is preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm Nauheimer and Maria Nauheimer, and her brother, Peter Nauheimer. 

A memorial service will be held at Gateway Funeral Home on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 12:00 P.M, with no visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow after the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, TN.
