Anna E Peck

Anna E. Peck, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 11, 2019 at her home with her husband David and her daughter Patricia lovingly by her side. She was born June 11, 1938 near Munich, Germany to the late Anton and Margaretha Kick. Anna was a devoted wife to her husband David for 57 years and together they raised four children. She was able to be a stay-at-home mother because she worked diligently perfecting her passion for sewing.

Anna's search for learning what the Bible really teaches led to her studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and subsequently dedicating her life to Jehovah God on September 30th, 1973. Especially known to many was that Anna was an exceptional seamstress for decades. Anna was remarkably detail-orientated which enabled her to create many wedding and ball gowns, hundreds of dresses, skirts, blouses, and even men's suits. When her 3 daughters were young, she designed and sewed matching dresses for them from her very own wedding dress. Anna's daughters wore dresses and clothes made by their mom for more than 25 years. There was no comparison of the high quality of Anna's sewing to anything store-bought. Later in life Anna developed a passion for cross-stitching. At last count, there are 37 intricate cross-stitched pictures beautifully displayed in their home, the ones in her children and grandson Nicholas' home. Anna once created what her son David calls an incredible cross-stitch masterpiece, two wolves in front of a shimmering moon. Anna utilized a metallic glittery floss to give the moon that gleaming shimmer. Anna also enjoyed crocheting and could knit a sweater in two days time.

Anna has a collection of swans and hummingbirds, some also cross-stitched, throughout their home because she deeply appreciated her God Jehovah's creations. She particularly loved these animals because of their intricate and magnificent nature which drew her closer to her Heavenly Creator.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving and proud husband, David Peck, her 3 daughters, Gabriele Nelson (Roger) of Atlanta, Patricia Peck of Clarksville, and Sandra Grugan (Michael) of Cleveland, Ohio; and her son, David Peck (Ginger) of Unionville, Virginia; grandchildren, Lisa Epsy (Paul) of Atlanta, Nicholas Peck (Tammy) of Clarksville, Anessa Cymbal of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rachel Senkowski (Alec) of Cleveland, Ohio, Alyssa Peck of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ella Peck of Unionville, Virginia; and 6 handsome great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Anton and Albert, and her dear sister-in-law Sally.
