Andrew David Fender III age 62 of Clarksville passed away on Monday November 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1953 in Lima, Ohio the son of the late Andrew David Fender Jr. and Ada Nevajo Icard Fender.
Andrew received his B.S. degree from the University of Texas at Galveston and his M.S. degree from the University of Houston. He was a Physician Assistant since 1979. He served patients for over a decade with Tennessee Oncology and had also served his patients at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute in Houston for many years. Andrew has lived in Clarksville since 1994. He was a founding member of the American Physician Assistants in Oncology.
He is survived by his wife Vanna Lynn Hill Fender to whom he was married April 11, 1981. He is also survived by three daughters, Abbey Lynn Fender of Adams; Chelsea Dawn Fender of Adams; and Lindsey Morgan Sorensen and husband Erich of Clarksville; as well as a grandchild Nora Jo Maiolo and another granddaughter, Whitley, on the way; three step-grandchildren, Tristan, Kirsten, and Hayden Sorensen. Andrew is also survived by a brother David Allen Fender of Houston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter Tobi June Sorensen.
On Wednesday December 16, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Freedom Pointe, there will be a memorial visitation with the family. Eulogy, inspirational messages, and memoirs of his life to commence between 5:30 and 6:30. Memorial contributions may be made to LUNGevity.
