Amy James, dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandma "Greeny", and Friend, passed away in LaVergne, TN on Monday, December 12, 2022. Amy was born to Robert Ledford and Kathy Turner in Salina, KS on November 10, 1975.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hobbs; father, Robert Ledford; and brother, Jacob Pederson. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Cameron James, Sasha James, and Isaiah James; step-children, Emily Hobbs and Daniel Schumer; her mother, Kathy Turner; siblings, Betty (Brian) Pieratt, April Ledford, Bobby (Tonya) Ledford, Jr., Joshua Ledford, Amanda Ledford, Richard (Ashley) White, Paula (Zach) Lawson, Robyn (Tristan) Yeaman, and James Pederson, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of friends and co-workers.
Amy enjoyed cooking for people, crocheting, being goofy, making people laugh, cuddling on the couch and watching movies. She loved singing as loud as she could to her favorite songs, and spending time with her family and friends. She had a personality brighter than the sun with a smile and laugh to match it. Most importantly, Amy was the best mother she knew how to be and her children and grandchildren were her life. There was never a day that went by that she didn't brag about all of her babies. Amy's life would seem too short to many, but to those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she spent here. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
